The future is Electric, Hybrid and Brint Cars!
Volvo Launching 5 New All-Electric Car Models in 2019
Volvo Car Group announced yesterday that in the coming years, every model rolling off the Volvo premium automakers’ assembly line will at a minimum be partly powered by electric battery system. The Sweden-based luxury car manufacturer, owned by China’s Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, said it would roll out five new all electric-cars between 2019 and 2021. The company will also offer plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) and mild hybrid choices to its customers. Two of the new all-electric models will be branded as Polestar, a new line of electric cars the Swedish automaker.
The company, owned by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, said five new models set to be launched in 2019 through 2021 - three of them Volvos and two Polestar-branded - would all be fully electric.
"These five cars will be supplemented by a range of petrol and diesel plug in hybrid and mild hybrid 48-volt options on all models," Volvo said. "This means that there will in future be no Volvo cars without an electric motor."
Sure the future is electric cars, Brint cars and hybrid cars with a mix of small petrol engines supporting the electric battery. The development with creating new and stronger batteries will go fast and it is not just Volvo, but also Mercedes Benz , Audi etc. who is getting ready to the future.
Diesel cars will soon be of the past and we believe it is the best for the environment. But why has it taken so long time to get to this point?
